teach PE and Health at Southridge High School. I am married to Bruce and we
have three children and a dog.
This is my fifth year
coaching at Southridge, my fourth year as a level 1 head coach. I choose to
coach here because of the athletes, my great coaching staff and this awesome
community. Each day there are challenges and for each challenge there are
amazing breakthrough performances. I feel very privileged to be a part of a
growing program with passionate coaches and committed student athletes. GO

Andrew Van Fleet coached the Southridge horizontal jumpers
for the past three years. This is his 6th year as a teacher and coach

Though his squad is young, he expects the returning varsity jumpers to compete
for top spots in metro and be in position to score points at state! When he
isn’t playing games with his 2 year old daughter, he can be found grading essays
on bus trips or building sand castles in the long jump pits.
Motto: Jump far and run fast, no wait, run fast then jump
far.
