"To give anything less than your best is to sacrifice the Gift" Steve Prefontaine Track and Field Season 2008 Welcome Athletes!I know you, along with our coaching staff are eager to get the season started. This season will provide many opportunities for those athletes desiring to step up and make an impact on the team. That will be a lot of fun to watch! If we as a team continue to focus on the fundamentals of our sport, I am confident we will be the best we can be. To have an impact on the team, you must follow these fundamentals: · Participate in pre-season workouts (if not in a fall/winter sport). Be in shape ready to go February 19 · Make every practice count – Work Hard! · Attitude – Expect, Listen, Act It is exciting to have several new faces added to our sport. If you love the excitement of competition and possess the inner drive of being your best, you will thrive in this sport. Welcome everyone! Our season objectives remain the same, train like a champion and demonstrate team unity with integrity. If we meet these objectives again, regardless of our win loss record, it will be a successful season. It is those character traits that separate good teams from great teams.
